  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
  2. Lightly grease a 23-25cm springform cake tin with butter and line the base and sides with baking paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the almond meal, coconut, sugar, butter and salt and mix it with your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Spoon half of the mixture into the base of the cake tin and gently press it evenly over the base.
  5. Add the eggs, yoghurt and spices to the remaining mixture and mix until combined well. Pour this over the base you just pressed down and smooth over the top.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool fully, take out of the pan and sprinkle over the pistachios before serving. This cake is really lovely served with fresh cream or greek yoghurt.
